Features

This Face Paint World Angular brush has been designed in consultation with a number of face painters

With my years of experience as a professional face painter and supplying the needs of other professional face painters, I have commissioned a range of custom-made brushes for you, bringing together quality and affordability.

Face Paint World brush design features:

  • size and shape designed by a professional face painter for precisely the work we do
  • medium spring-back bristles for smooth flowing strokes and maximum control
  • synthetic bristles that hold their shape and work well with the water-activated face paints we all use, for even application
  • smooth, lightweight handle to allow for better control and handling comfort
  • bright red handles so they are easy to see if they roll off your table onto the grass
  • lower prices because good quality brushes should be affordable for everyone
  • I particularly like that the handles are significantly shorter than the TAG flat brushes which can be too long for some brush holders
  • Brush Range:  Face Paint World
  • Bristles:  synthetic golden taklon
  • Handle:  painted wood
  • Ferrule:  seamless
  • Bristle Width:  approx 20mm – just over 3/4 inch
  • Bristle Length:  approx. 12 to 18 mm
  • Handle length:  medium
  • Total brush length:  approx. 20 cm

I just started using this & love it. Bristles hold well together & bend perfectly to make a sharp , crisp edge. It holds the paint well. I think this is my new fave 3/4 brush!!!!!!!

About Face Paint World

Face Paint World was established in 2012 by me – Kylie-Anne.

Having left my career in pathology to raise my two beautiful babies, when my youngest started school I was looking for a new work venture that would still allow me to be a stay-at-home mum and ideally utilize my creativity. I serendipitously discovered face painting when I volunteered for the school fete. It was just what I’d been looking for. Putting smiles on kids and adults with my painting is intoxicating!

A few years later I was ready for my next venture - supplying face paint products. I see my role as supporting other professional face and body artists by providing a great range of products and a fast, reliable service, and sharing my passion for face painting with novices – helping them find the right products for their needs and advice on how to use them.

As an experienced, professional face painter, I know how important it is to have good quality products that you can rely on, so I strive to provide the best face and body art products available. I also know that professional face painters have different preferences for various products along with their different styles, and that people have varying budgets along with different needs, so I stock a range of brands and products so that everyone can find what they need at Face Paint World.

The split-cakes branded Face Paint World are colour combinations selected by me, and custom-made for us by TAG Body Art. They are the colour combinations that I like to use in my face painting designs and I’m happy to share them with you.

I am continually on the lookout for products that could be helpful to face painters and I search for products that fill a need. When I find such products that are unbranded, I sell them under the Face Paint World brand, but they not been made or designed by me.

About Angular Brushes

Angular brushes are good for:

  • precise strokes
  • one-stroke designs – especially roses
  • leaves
  • base-coats – laying in large areas of colour
  • tight shading and highlighting
  • painting sharply defined edges

Angled, angular, angular shader, angle flat… a brush by any other name… This is a flat brush with the bristle head cut on an angle.

As with a regular flat brush, you can use it to paint thin or thick lines, do one-strokes and fill areas of colour. An angled brush is particularly handy for using the tip to put a finer point on your one-stroke designs and getting into the nooks and crannies of a face.

Some professional face painters love angular brushes for painting leaves, and it’s especially favoured by artists who love to paint roses. Check out this demo on YouTube of painting one-stroke roses and leaves with Angular Shader brushes. You could get the same effect using a one-stroke cake like Rose or Cupcake.
