Brick wall stencils are great backdrops for a number of face painting themes including: Batman, Spiderman, Minecraft (fortress walls), graffiti, cars, trucks and construction. By using a Brick Wall stencil as background for your boys’ face painting design you can quickly and easily add interest and enlarge the design. For example, using a Batman symbol on it’s own gives a pretty small design but put it on a brickwall background and you have at least a half-face design.
To stencil a realistic brick wall, stencil with a dark colour (eg. dark brown) first; allow to dry, then place the stencil back on just slightly higher and to the left/right a bit and stencil over it with a medium colour (medium brown). Ideally, get a couple of shades in random patches on your sponge for random variation of tone. Thirdly, with the stencil still in place, lightly sponge on black (or perhaps beige) with a Stipple Sponge to create a real textured finish.
This Brickwork stencil can easily be used to stencil a larger area because the edges of the design fit together perfectly and the stencil has guides to help you create a seamless, flowing pattern over an area any size required.

These stencils are laser cut from durable, yet flexible, 7 mil (0.007” = 0.18mm) mylar plastic. About the thickness of card-stock, it is thin and flexible enough to achieve outstanding detail when stencilling, yet strong enough to clean and use many times.
