Because the last one, several years old, saw so much constant action it finally started showing some age 🙂 Makes bold, medium-sized petals, big enough to absolutely dazzle with double-loading.

About Bolt Brushes by Jest Paint

ABOUT JEST PAINT

Anna Wilinski and her husband, Santiago (Santi) Massano are the co-owners of Jest Paint.

After a long love affair with face painting, Anna started Jest Paint as a little online shop in 2009. She was motivated by YouTube viewers who wanted to try her handmade rainbow pots.

ABOUT BOLT BRUSHES

Jest Paint have worked hard to design an ideal set of face painting brushes – from choosing the right handle size to the length and material of the bristles – and created Bolt Brushes.

The handles of Bolt Brushes are coated in a glossy, non-toxic UV-reactive orange paint so that you can easily find your brushes while working at Black Light parties. The bright handle also makes them easy to spot if dropped in the grass or on the ground. The bright orange colour may over time fade to a different shade of orange or yellow from exposure to direct sunlight.

Bolt Brushes are assembled in the USA using components from Thailand.

As the bristles are synthetic, no animals were harmed for the production of these brushes. The wood for Bolt brush handles comes from managed national wood reforestation programs, and the manufacturer is involved with non-profit organizations that fight to protect endangered species, as well as organizations that provide free school materials to kids in need.

About Petal Brushes

"Petal Brushes" are the ideal brushes to create perfect flower petals for face painting.

“Petal” brushes are round brushes that have a plump base and fine point. They are used to create teardrop and petal shapes by pressing them to the skin (as you can with any round face painting brush) and give a plumper teardrop than a regular round brush. You can create longer teardrops by gliding it slightly across the skin as you are laying it down.

Like any round brush, a round petal brush will allow you to do:

  • precise, fine details
  • outlines
  • swirls
  • teardrops and petals
  • thin to thick to thin lines (such as tiger stripes)
  • fill small areas
  • dots of various sizes
