Made from Mehron’s industry-acclaimed cream makeup, this large special effects colour wheel contains different shades specially developed for creating bruise effects. Bruises change colour gradually; initially they are very red, then shades of purple, yellow and taupe appear through the various stages of a healing bruise. These special effects colour wheels contain the perfect colour for each stage, creating a realistic bruise effect for film, TV and other special effects.
HOW TO USE:
Begin with the Bright Red shade to create a fresh bruise. Add Maroon and Dark Blue to create an older bruise. The Yellow and Green shades are used to create a healing bruise effect. Set with Mehron’s Colorset Powder. Remove with Mehron’s Makeup Remover.

Works great!
I was able to get a nice burn effect with this and some liquid latex and makeup sponges 🙂 I found it comes off easier with micellar water than makeup wipes. You’ll either need to let it dry for a while or set it with some translucent powder to make sure it doesn’t smear when touched, but overall very pleased with this purchase!

It’s easy to work with and I will buy it again. Very good quality

Great quality, easy to use
Love that the texture is easy to blend and work with, I have another little palette of similar colours and they’re a little more in the sticky side. Anyway I have to use this for my costume for work and it works perfectly!

Convincing as heck
Using this palette for cosplay (the mid-/post-battle type) and it’s pretty convincing with a little practice! The cream doesn’t smear without effort once it’s dried. These seem to be all the right colors for the varying stages of bruises.

Bruisey as can be! Great for SFX makeup.
Very realistic colours! They work great on set and for private use.
What looks like the black colour in the wheel is actually a very deep deep purple that instantly makes any wound look like there’s a hemorrhage going in there.
Makes faking black eye so easy!

Better than Ben Nye
I live for this colour wheel, pans are a nice depth, a little goes a long way, extremely similar to Ben Nye possibly better

Great for SFX
This creme makeup is so easy to use to create bruises, sores, burns, and more. I’m an SFX makeup newbie, but was able to do a lot with this palette, and a little bit goes a long way. You’re gonna need sponges and stipple pads and brushes, but otherwise this wheel covers a lot of bases.

For all your fake-bruise needs… and more!
Full disclosure: I’m not a makeup artist, just your average consumer looking for Halloween makeup. But this was exactly what I needed. Comes with instructions for creating “fresh”, “old”, and “healing” bruises, all of which create the exact desired effect.
I also used it to simulate burns and a fake explosion effect. Worked great.

Easy to apply, realistic, great value
I only use Mehron products for SFX work and this is one of my absolute favourite wheels. It’s easy to apply, easy to take off, and offers every colour needed for realistic bruises. People usually think they’re real! It’s not bad for beginners either as long as you look up bruise healing stages to make sure your colours are accurate for the bruise you’re trying to replicate. It’s also inexpensive for the quality.

Great Halloween colors
This color palette was great for a zombie look I did. It was very easy to use, easily mix able on my skin and removed easily as well. So happy I got this for other special effects I wanna try!

Very realistic!
I watched the video that was with the product description and was able to very quickly create bruise and abrasion type looks on several people
…several people actually asked if the bruises were real!
