This Face Paint World One-stroke brush has short bristles with a flat top provide for maximum control and smooth strokes for creating one-stroke face painting designs with your favourite 1 inch one-stroke split-cake.

I recommend having at least three one-stroke brushes so you can use three different one-stroke split-cakes without having to wash out your brush because washing all the colour out of your one-stroke brush is difficult to do on the job and takes too much precious time when you could be painting more kids.

With my years of experience as a professional face painter and supplying the needs of other professional face painters, I have commissioned a range of custom-made brushes for you, bringing together quality and affordability.

This Face Paint World One-stroke brush has short bristles with a flat top provide for maximum control and smooth strokes. It has a medium springback for flowing, yet controlled strokes. The handle length is medium so its not too long for your kit and easy to wield. Thus it is ideal for creating one stroke designs, painting large areas and blending.

About Face Paint World

Face Paint World was established in 2012 by me – Kylie-Anne.
Having left my career in pathology to raise my two beautiful babies, when my youngest started school I was looking for a new work venture that would still allow me to be a stay-at-home mum and ideally utilize my creativity. I serendipitously discovered face painting when I volunteered for the school fete. It was just what I’d been looking for. Putting smiles on kids and adults with my painting is intoxicating!
A few years later I was ready for my next venture - supplying face paint products. I see my role as supporting other professional face and body artists by providing a great range of products and a fast, reliable service, and sharing my passion for face painting with novices – helping them find the right products for their needs and advice on how to use them.
As an experienced, professional face painter, I know how important it is to have good quality products that you can rely on, so I strive to provide the best face and body art products available. I also know that professional face painters have different preferences for various products along with their different styles, and that people have varying budgets along with different needs, so I stock a range of brands and products so that everyone can find what they need at Face Paint World.
The split-cakes branded Face Paint World are colour combinations selected by me, and custom-made for us by TAG Body Art. They are the colour combinations that I like to use in my face painting designs and I’m happy to share them with you.
I am continually on the lookout for products that could be helpful to face painters and I search for products that fill a need. When I find such products that are unbranded, I sell them under the Face Paint World brand, but they not been made or designed by me.

About Flat Brushes

Flat brushes are good for:

Shading and blending colours
Base-coats – laying in large areas of colour
“One-stroke” designs – applying multiple colours from a split-cake for instant shading effect and rainbows
Creating ribbons and other lines of varying widths by altering the angle
Roses
Broad, sweeping strokes with neat edges
Narrow lines by using the edge

The flat brush has a flat ferrule and the bristles are square-ended and straight edged. A flat brush can also be called a one-stroke, a shader, or a bright, depending on the length of the hairs and its intended use. In face painting, a one-stroke brush just means a flat brush but most often refers to one inch wide flat brushes which are designed to pick up and deliver all the colours in a one inch wide one-stroke split-cake.

¾” flat brushes are good for one-stroke designs when you want them to be a bit smaller to fit on a tiny kid’s face or arm. They also allow you to use just a section of colours from within your split-cake – like when you want to leave off the black or white or other end colour to create a different effect from that split-cake.

¾” flat brushes are also particularly useful for base-coats – such as the red of Spiderman. Quicker, less messy, and much neater with a defined outline, compared to laying down the base with a sponge.

Smaller flat brushes are great for doing one-stroke effects on a smaller scale – such as one-stroke roses, two-tone leaves, flames, etc, and when you only want to use two or maybe three colours from a split-cake for a different effect.
