$9.40

Bio-glitter – made from natural, biodegradable materials, with low levels of heavy metals – is a safer, more earth friendly choice of cosmetic glitter

Only 2 left in stock

Features
  • OPAQUE – a single, strong colour for shiny, sparkly, solid coverage so it is ideal for glitter tattoos, but also suitable for face painting.
  • 15 ml (10 to 15 g) in a puffer bottle

The puffer bottle is the ideal for applying fine cosmetic glitter to your face painting design. A gentle squeeze puffs a spray of sparkles. Hold it close for a lots of glitter in a small area; or from a little distance for a wider dispersal. You may need to pierce the tip with a pin; some bottles have the hole already.

Lustrous, sparkly glitter – an essential for glitter tattoos, the finishing touch to face painting, and a delightful addition to henna art! And now even your sparkles can be eco-friendly with biodegradable Bio-glitter® from TAG Body Art!

TAG Body Art Gold Bio-glitter® is a loose, fine glitter which means it is without gel or crème base. Simply apply it over your face painting design before the paint dries and the paint will hold it.

Cosmetic glitters can also be:

  • applied to the skin with Prosaide cosmetic adhesive as with glitter tattoos
  • mixed with a Gel Base to make your own glitter gel
  • sprinkled onto a henna design before the henna sets for a delightful extra dimension while the henna paste remains on the skin.

About TAG Body Art

TAG Body Art is a long established face and body art supplier located in South Australia. TAG Body Art is an Australian family owned company created in 2009 to fill a void in the market. Before this, quality face paints were not available in Australia, and recognizing  this need, an Adelaide Hills family created the TAG Body Art brand and nurtured it to become the brand  face and body painters love and trust today.

TAG Body Art hypoallergenic face paints are made from cosmetic grade high quality ingredients safe for everyone to use, and include a wide range of colours. TAG Body Art colours are vegan friendly, gluten free, paraben free, lanolin free and are not made from animal biproducts or tested on animals which make them a perfect choice for our vegan customers.

Their range includes Regular, Pearl and Neon colours in solid colour cakes, as well as a huge range of One-stokes and 50g Split-cakes.  TAG Body Art has also worked hard to source the other staples for your kit, from brushes to biodegradable glitter.

TAG Body Art is a trusted brand in the face painting community.

About Bio-Glitter

Regular polyester glitters are micro-plastic particles made from non-renewable (petroleum-based) resources, and will remain in nature indefinitely.

Cosmetic Bio-glitter® is based on biodegradable film made from eucalyptus tree cellulose, sourced from responsibly managed plantations. This Biodegradable Glitter can degrade in nature within several months and is deemed “Ocean Safe.” This is the glitter that shows the least harmful impact on the environment and is the best option, particularly when you (or your clients) feel that the glitter waste may end up in public waterways.

  • Cosmetic Bio-glitter® contains low levels of heavy metals.
  • Cosmetic Bio-glitter® feels more comfortable on the skin.
  • Bio-glitter® is physically 30-40% softer than polyester glitter.
  • Antimony levels in Bio-glitter® are below the limits of detection, effectively zero. Whereas, cosmetic polyester glitter can have antimony levels as high as 150ppm. The antimony in polyester is a by-product of a catalyst used in the manufacture of polyester.

Bio-glitter should not be stored in sunlight for long periods as the colour can fade, and need to be kept in airtight storage conditions as humidity can cause clumping. Usually this does not impact the performance of the glitter itself, but depending on how you apply it, you may have issues with applicators not handling the clumps well.

Thank you for joining us while we begin our path towards a more sustainable future. Every journey begins with a single step.

As an alternative to biodegradable (or traditional) glitters, you might consider mica powders which are a mineral-based product that is eco-friendly for both land and sea environments.
