Mehron’s StarBlend™ Cake Makeup is a highly pigmented pressed powder that can be applied wet or dry. StarBlend lasts longer than conventional cake makeup as it was developed to withstand the extreme performance conditions, including hot stage lights. Apply as a soft, dry powder over a base-coat of regular face paint to give a smoother, more even coverage. It is particularly useful for adding shadow effects, highlights and softly blended colour. When applied wet, StarBlend gives a stronger colour. For highest saturation of colour, apply wet, then set it with a layer of dry StarBlend powder.

Jinny is a world renowned and award-winning body painting artist. Her vibrant designs and clever use of colour have captured the hearts of fellow artists and fans around the world. She has been the artistically creative influence behind Cirque du Soliel productions and her work has been featured in international media, books, movies, magazines, commercials and shows.
Jinny has been judging and teaching at the World Bodypainting Academy for over 15 years now. She said, “Teaching is something I really love. Usage Tips and Ingredients
Tips for use of Starblend:
- Apply StarBlend™ dry with a Smoothie Blender using a patting and blending motion on desired area, or use as water-activated makeup, applying with a damp sponge.
- Colours can be blended on the skin or mixed in a clean container by shaving dust from two colours.
- To use StarBlend both wet and dry, it is recommended to transfer some into a separate container, reserving one for dry use, and one for water-activated application.
- StarBlend™ can be sealed with Mehron Barrier Spray to make it sweat resistant.
- Remove with makeup remover or soap and water.

I liked this powder for my daughter’s Halloween make-up. I was looking for something that gave pretty good solid color without resorting to grease paint-type thick makeup. It gave fairly good color and coverage with multiple applications/layers. It washed off pretty easily and there was no staining. There was no resulting acne, like we have had with heavy grease paint make-up.
